Household Hazardous Waste Collection
The Rialto Household Hazardous Waste Collection Site is a satellite of the San Bernardino County HHW program, the first such program in the nation and is permitted to accept waste normally found in a home from all county residents.
The City operates a Household Hazardous Waste Collection site. Below we've posted information about the site. Items can be brought to:
246 S. Willow Avenue
(behind the City Public Works Water and Maintennce Operations Office)

Friday 8:00 AM. to 12:00 P.M.
Saturday 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Please note that free dumping at the landfill will no longer be a part of our Community Clean-up Day events. Regular landfill fees will apply at all times.
Items accepted include:
- Automotive fluids
- Pool Chemicals
- Household Batteries (must be taped at points of contact with masking tape)
- Car Batteries
- Old Medications
- Fluorescent Tubes
- Electronic Waste
- Medical Waste
- Business Waste
- Radioactive Waste
Before transporting items, be sure that:
- The waste is in the original container or is properly labeled for your safety and the safety of our workers
- The containers are not leaking and are sealed
- The total amount of waste does not exceed 15 gallons or 125 pounds (up to 20 gallons of used oil is allowed, but in containers no larger than 5 gallons)
