The City of Rialto will open “cooling centers” for residents in response to the increasingly warm weather the region will be experiencing starting Thursday, July 24th thru Friday, July 25th, 2014. The National Weather Service has issued a High-Heat Advisory for the Inland Empire for these days, predicting that temperatures could reach as high as 106 degrees.
There will be two cooling centers opened in the city which are located at the Rialto Community Center, 214 N. Palm Ave., and at the Rialto Senior Center, located at 1411 S. Riverside. Please call the Rialto “Cool” Line at (909)421-7270
Come out and experience a family-friendly atmosphere, and discover what our local farmers and merchants have to offer. Rialto Market Nights will be July 30, August 27, and September 24 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Rialto City Hall located at 150 So. National Night Out is a nationwide program co-sponsored by Target where neighborhood watch groups come together one night a year with Target representatives, Police, Fire, School and City officials, to celebrate the concerted effort in fighting crime throughout the year. This year's event will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
The Rialto Institute of Progress is an 8-week program giving our residents and business owners the opportunity to learn more about our city government and the services that we deliver to our community. This program is intended to provide participants with a clearer understanding on how Rialtos' local government works as well as ways to promote open lines of communication between citizens, business owners and city hall.more
